Wolfson
Endings follow us wherever we go, sticking with us more than any other time in our lives. Though we draw near to graduation, it is not just an ending of our time at Wolfson but the start of new ventures. The past year has seen many fresh beginnings. Thanks to the hard work of consecutive WCSA (Wolfson College Student Association) committees, Wolfson now has its very own punt; all students have the chance to participate in the age-old Cambridge tradition. Wolfson celebrated its 60th birthday last summer, drawing together members from across the College’s community – students, alumni, Fellows, and donors alike – to commemorate the uniqueness of our College and its educational mission. This year’s graduation will be special as it will feature, for the first time, students from the University’s Foundation Year in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, which started in 2022. It is a
momentous achievement for the students and the College, and a celebration of our commitment to supporting students from non-traditional routes.
Wolfson continues to show that it is just as much a part of the University’s community as any standard-age College. This year, both our women’s rowing teams earned blades at Lent Bumps, a spectacular achievement for the College and our sports teams. Additionally, the Wolfson Howler, formal swaps, craft club, and BOPs brought us together and perpetuated the unique and supportive community that we hold so dear.
Though we will be moving on to start the next chapters in our lives, Wolfson will forever be here to welcome us home, like we never left.
