St Edmund's

A wonderful thing about St Edmund’s is the constant year-on-year churn of students, each cohort contributing their own magic and sparkle to the College community. From the inevitable chaos of Fresher’s week to night-long BOPs and insightful student conferences, the atmosphere of the College continues to flourish and grow with each and every student contributing to life at Eddie’s. I, for one, have been wowed by this cohort’s enthusiasm for College life, and our CR committee has been blessed by some of the most enthusiastic CR officers I am sure that the College has seen. Multitudes of new events and societies have transformed themselves from idea to reality, as reflected in our ever-growing list of societies and packed term-time schedule. One aspect of the College that has always jumped out to me is that Eddie’s students truly are everywhere. You’ll find us loitering on

Sidney Street, BOPs across town, Varsity matches and rowing on the river to name only a couple of the times I have bumped into friendly faces from St Edmund’s whilst out and about. There are very few instances where I have left College this year without stumbling across someone I recognise from the CR which, whilst often doubling my journey time, only reaffirms the friendliness and warmth emanating from the College and beyond.

As the year comes to a close, I would like to thank all the students at St Edmund’s for everything that they have contributed to the College, whether that be as an attendee to events or running them. It gives me the utmost pleasure to wish you all the best for the coming year and beyond!

Yours sincerely,

An Mei Rawlings, CR President 2025-2026, History and Politics Tripos
